SKATEBOARD PARK<\/h2>\n

The Montalivet high street is closed all July and August so the main sport is skateboarding and roller blades as there is a good slope down to the beach. There is also a most excellent new skatepark near the water, it has a big bowl, some great ramps and other table modules for grinding.

SURFING<\/h2>\n

BEST BEACH<\/h2>\n

Pat Varney \u201cfor children definitely Hourtin PORT (plage) not Hourtin plage and not Picquerot. The kids were 2.9,12 and 12 \u2013 pedalos were great fun, safe water, cafes, restaurants and terrific tourist information \u2013 with good loos\u201d. <\/p>\n

CYCLING<\/h2>\n

\u201cHired bikes so we could be on our way at eight in the morning to avoid the heat.<\/p>\n

cycled to Pin Sec \u2013 took one and a quarter hours and had breakfast at the same restaurant. Great way to start the day! All told a very chilled (albeit very warm!) week. Love Jane’s taste in d\u00e9cor. The King family Dublin p.s. Our kids fascinated by the doves!<\/p>\n

Some clients cycled up to Le Verdon to La Chambrette beach no waves as its on the estuary. Good beach bar but try \u201cThe Black Pearl they say as its better. Stroll over to oyster port in the evening for fresh fish. La Pecherie in Le Verdon opposite the ferry is recommended also.
